week10 EOC: robert kearns vs.erin brockovich

I think that Roberts’s case hits people the most for the fact that it was his idea not the ford company. Robert came up with this idea that he knew it cost more then just the money offered to him. They had offered him money a couple of times to just drop the case and saddle with the cash. Erin brockovich had no job and in my point of view even though the stories or completely different, to me they have the same concept. She wanted to fight with the people that were losing their home. As well in this story the people were offered money and Erin told them to turn it down. Lawyers don’t care about what you feel about your case, they just care about making their money no matter what. That is why lawyers always tell you to just take the money and keep your mouth shut. In Erin’s case she knew that she can win more money because of the reputation of the company I guess, and with Robert he wanted justice for himself because it was HIS invasion not the big companies. The company also used the years of experience on their backs to win the case. Robert had none but was still determent to try and win his case. The feeling of both of this people after winning their cases most of felt reliving. That is because they felt like they helped make a change in life or just change in something that was important to them. I think that most people hear how much money they are being offered, stops them from the whole point of the suing the other person or people. Both movies made a good point about not stopping till you have your justice. Both fought till they got what they wanted.

week6 EOC: Illicit: what i think of it

Illicit this was a very interesting video about counterfeiting I learned a lot about the ways of the treads of other counties. Too many people are dealing with all this none real products. I think that that they really should stop this from going on because many companies are losing money from this problem. The risk that people are taking just for them to get money for a liven is not worth it, well that’s what I think about it. Drugs are also something that people really need to stay alive but the fakes out there are killing people for money. They have no idea that the product is a counterfeit or just because they might not have the money to buy the real thing they prefer the fake. Well whatever the case is people is ding over this. But in other words people out there (the sellers) see this as a big business that spreads over seas. Millions and millions are being made over this treads. But they don’t care what goes on as long as they get their money by the end of the day. They don’t care if your mother dies over the drug that they made for quick cash in their pockets. Money can be made in so many ways that people cannot see that they can make it legitimate. I think that this video shows to a lot of people that there’s fake things everywhere and to be careful when or if they what to take that chance on getting chough buying. In my words I think that this can’t be stopped no matter how hard they try. Is just a war that is costing billions on both sides and it’s not going nowhere. I mean yeah they slowing it down but has it stopped??

Week 5 EOC: lawyers looking for fame

The lawyer in this story wants to take the cases to the supreme court for fame is how I see it. I mean why not just take it to regular court you know. This lawyer see that by winning a case you’ll get more clients coming your way. That’s why more and more are trying to take it to the supreme court. There in it for the money or in other words the fame. Fernandez Vargeas is the client in this story. He was deported to Mexico after living in the united states for over I think it said ten or twenty years. Well anyways he has a wife and a kid that stayed behind in the stats while he was in Mexico. The lawyer was indeed trying to fight his case but only if it was fought in the supreme court. Oh but his lawyer did not have the expertise or the money to pursue the case. So they had seen that the case was one of them rare ones that can reach the supreme court. Well to me a quote that best fits this is “don’t point your fingers, only if you know your hands are clean”. To me that means that the lawyer should off know everything before stepping up to the plate. “The law will never make men free, it is men that have to make the law free.” “A lawyer with a briefcase can steal more money than thousands men with guns.”Those will have to be the best quotes I seen that told me the truth about this story.

week 4 EOC. Death Race Jeoperdy

This was a crazy way to learn our definitions I have to say that I did learn same new ones after the game was done. Like prior art was one that basically talked about deciding whether the particular invention is sufficient novel and nonobvious. Another is official gazette which consists of two weekly online publication produced by the U.S.P.T.O in other words the US Patent and Trademark Office. The last one will have to be double patenting if two patents or obtained on a single invention. Toughs were the only three I learned by playing it. My team ended up winning it at the end. Troughs points that we got at the end went to our mid terms, so it was a good thing we went all in on it. I think we should have more games like this one to learn our vocab. Well it was a good expirers well learn game over the fact that everyone wanted to win the game. So I think everyone pushed themselves to try and win. There’s much more words that need to be learned for our mid team so I think that this should be done more often. It also made the class fly by so that was a plus. i like how everyone did their own in deferent levels so it was a challenge to everyone at first ,but after they got the hang of it ,it got much easy.

Week 2 EOC Lawyers

Lawyers well I think most like to lie but thats just my thoght. Everyone thinks differnt about many things this is one of them. I think that theres a hand full of lawyers out there that will really try hard to win your case. For example one of my friends had a lawyer and,one day he had to go to court for some case that he had.HE had called the lawyer to talk to him about I dont what but at the end the lawyer told my friend not to show up to court,That he had it in the bag.Well at the end of the day my friend found out that the lawyer didnt even show up to court. My friend had a bench warrant so he went to jail for a couple of days over what that lawyer did. That or i forgot if the lawyer show but lost the case because he told my friend not to show.Well that made me a little concern about them lawyers. If i was to hire a lawyer im goin to learn about that person before anything goes down.I forgot the lawyers name that come out in TV,but i heard this dude be lossing all his casess.See that man says that he will do his best to win your case but look at the outcome of it. he does not win but makes money anyways.Thats how i see them all win or lose the lawyer always wins.

Week 3 EOC: challenges and opportunities

Many challenges come with opportunities, this jeopardy game helps people remember the vocabulary vary easy because is more of a game trivia then learning it like homework. Most people seem to remember things much easier this way over studying and trying to jam it in your brain. I see this much easier because I don’t feel like I’m studying. The challenge is not all that hard to by past. I mean the answers are right there in the book. All that you need is to know how to look for the vocabulary on that text book. Witch I think everyone knows how to do. Thiers too much to be remember from just reading on your own. This opportunity is good because everyone is going to do something different from each other, so that means that more opportunities to learn more as u play. I also think this is a better way to learn vocabulary then the old way. You can also brake it down between you and your team. That way the team knows more and helps each other know more or learn in other words. Challenge yourself with the more you can take in by studying the words and their vocabulary. Too much to be covered with little to lose is how I see this. Only like 200 and something pages of vocabulary to cover. that’s way to much for someone to take in, in like a week of reading. Is impassable to do! that’s why this is the best way to challenge yourself to learn.
